(Let me know if that convinced any of you.)
Tuesday did not go as well. Betsy was still her sweet, slumbering self, but John was a bit more stubborn. And he was slower than slow in responding to every single thing asked of him throughout the day. Oh, and then there was the whole bit about deciding not to nap. Yeah, that was fun, too. At least he was sweet and agreeable to the idea of going to bed early.
Which brings us to today. We got out and enjoyed the fall-ish weather with the Parkers, and then had the privilege of welcoming the Halls back -- home! -- to Austin. (Because they are moving here! As in, this week! Yay!) The look on John's face when he woke up from his nap to find his beloved Lillian -- well, it's a good thing that they are only 2 and that the state outlaws marriage at such a young age. Because a little while later, we found them like this:
(And y'all, please don't judge me by the state of my bathroom. I will totally play my "I have a 3-week-old card" here.)
Tomorrow is Thursday. A school day. Amen.
