This is how you can tell that we have been watching way, way too much 24. When John calls out from his room that he's dropped his pacifier -- "Blue Fire Down" -- we hear this:
"Blue Fire Down. I repeat, we have a Blue Fire Down. We need to set up a perimeter and secure the area. There's no time to explain."

i got such a good laugh out of this! of course, it's funny to me b/c i am not the one hearing "blue fire down!" in the middle of the night. livie could take or leave her pacis, but i tie them in her crib using her "towelies", which are her cloth diapers from target (very light, thin, and NOT absorbent (and thus, were never diapers)). livie sleeps in only one part of her crib, and does not have a crib bumper, so this works for us. if john's situation is similar, maybe you could give this a whirl and get more sleep and hear less "blue fire down". happy 24 viewing!
Uh-oh...once the language of 24ese infultrates your everyday life, there is no turning back!
