At least he's using his words

It's hard to discipline your child if you can't keep a straight face. Here are some highlights from the last 48 hours.

To Tommy, after he suggested that John eat his waffle:
"You can't speak to me that way."

To Lucy, after she knocked down his Lego tower:
"Lucy, I am going to obey you. You need to look me in the eyes, Lucy. I'm talking to you. Listen to me."

To us, while we were praying before bed, after I took away his bread crusts because he wouldn't touch the rest of his dinner:
"We need to pray for food and milk and bread. Mom, you need to pray for taking my bread away."
