So, it's not a secondary infection. It's a sty. A good, old fashioned, nasty-looking sty. The good news? It still doesn't seem to bother him, except for when we have to put the warm compresses on it. The bad news? I finally found out what that specialist co-pay category means on our insurance cards. Who knew you could get a degree in pediatric opthalmology?
We're hoping that the sty is of the self-draining variety, or else we will be back to the doctor in 6 weeks to arrange for drainage surgery. Yikes.
