The Eyes Have It, Part III

The sty that will not die rears its ugly head again.

It's still there. Although, if you're like me, and have been happily watching the giant red bump under John's eye slowly fade over the last month or three, you might not have known that it was still there. In fact, you might -- like me -- almost skip out on your follow-up appointment with the doctor, since it's obviously better.

Ahem.

So, it's not better. Not even close. The outside might look healed, but the inside is still very much, well ... stymied. I thought that the doctor was going to give us a clean bill of health and send us on our way, but instead we left with a surgery scheduled for May 1st. It's not a major surgery -- if he were older, the doctor would just drain it in the office -- but it will require general anesthesia. I am quite certain that it will be harder on me than it is on him.
