It seems as if someone whispered in John's ear during the last week or so that he only had a month or so left of being two, and if he wanted to get in any terrible-ness, he'd better start now.
While not nearly as terrible as it could be, we have been scratching our heads wondering where this suddenly vocal, obstinate, no-longer-shy kid came from. Surely not from us! (Some humor for our parents.)
All of a sudden he's fake-crying in protest of dinner, wiggling out of reach, and my personal favorite -- the onset of the "why"s. Dawn got to see it first-hand yesterday at the park, as he climbed (uninvited) into the car with Victor. I can only imagine what he's like at school!
But he has given us a lot of laughs with his new, more outgoing personality. Today at HEB, when the voice came over the loudspeaker announcing "Good Morning HEB Shoppers!" John responded right back yelling "Hello! My name is John! My name is John!"
