Do you know how many Ford vehicles are in your neighborhood? Well, we do. John points out each and every Ford that he sees, whether they are parked or on the road -- only he doesn't call them "Fords", he calls them "blue buttons." Or, in the case of the newer-model trucks with the badge in the center, "BIG blue buttons."
No idea where this came from -- one day we were driving down the road when he started calling out "Blue button", and I looked and looked until I realized we were going past a Ford dealership. The only other cars that he consistently points out by emblem are Hondas -- "big H!"
Though his father is somewhat dismayed by his obvious love for the blue oval -- and really, after our time with the Explorer, can anyone blame him? -- at least he comes by it honestly from my side of the family. And he'll be a big help when we go car shopping this winter!
