Don't be fooled by the pink Dora band-aid -- this is one tough dude. We had our first "major" head wound (at least by my standards!) on Monday when John climbed up on a box to reach the printer buttons, and then caught the edge of the desk with his forehead on the way down. He cried for about 3 seconds, and then tried to climb back up on the box, undaunted by the blood. The resulting giant purple knot on his forehead with the small gash in the center warranted a quick trip to the doctor -- who said that it was really just a scrape. (But it will go down in my memory as a gaping open wound.) So while chicks may dig scars, mamas definitely don't. Especially when they happen right before we're scheduled for 2-year portraits!

Hey, we've got those bandaids on the ready (but thankfully haven't needed them yet)! I'm glad that John has already made the pink Dora bandaid en vogue for the male toddler set because I'm sure Victor's time is coming. Happy healing. And John, stop scaring your mom!
Don't worry about the portrait...I think the majority of pictures my parents got of us growing up were because of some sort of bruise or scar. If it was deemed "picture worthy", we were proud. :)
